TOWN Design Proposal: Bold & Modern Identity

Color, typography, and geometric shapes played a key role in creating a sophisticated, modern aesthetic for the TOWN Design Proposal. A bold red and black palette reinforced the brand’s identity, while an established grid system ensured a clean, structured layout. Repeated visual motifs—such as the koi, swoosh, and Chinese characters—enhanced unity and rhythm. Sharp contrasts, refined spacing, and a slate background added depth, making the design both immersive and visually striking.

“A Brew of Their Own” Beer Promotional Shirt

Pink Boots Society of Hampton Roads

For this collaboration beer, I was commissioned to create a hand-drawn illustration as a promotional piece. The beer was brewed in partnership between Studly Brewing Company and the Pink Boots Society of Hampton Roads. Pink Boots Society is dedicated to empowering and advancing women and non-binary individuals in the fermented and alcoholic beverage industry through education and professional development.

Studly Brewing Company’s baseball-themed brand, combined with the beer’s name—a play on a well-known film—inspired the composition. The artwork features four women of diverse ethnicities and body types enjoying a “brew of their own” while wearing baseball jerseys. The numbers on the jerseys were intentionally chosen to represent the local 757 area code and the beer’s release date, August 24th.

While I was solely responsible for the illustration, final design elements such as typography, shirt style, and placement were determined by others in the project.

Devil May Care’ Ad: Precision Editing with Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom was essential in refining the imagery for the “Devil May Care photo. Using selective editing tools, I enhanced the beer’s vibrance and contrast to make it the focal point of the composition. The eraser tool removed distractions like the plug and table scratches, ensuring a cleaner, more cohesive visual narrative. These adjustments resulted in a polished, professional design that effectively highlighted the product.
